Rocky Hill Cyclocross Training Races - Volunteers Needed - Wednesday, 9/1
The CCAP, EBCC, CCRT, and Horst Teams are combining forces and again need your help to run the Rocky Hill CX Series! Volunteers are needed to work registration, break down the course and especially for course set-up. The first race in the series (9/1) is Eastern Bloc's night!
Rocky Hill Cross races are on Wednesday nights, starting the first week of September and continuing until 9/22. Rocky Hill CX Series
If you sign up to help set up the course, you'll get your race fee waived. Sign-up to race for free is PRE-REG ONLY and is on BikeReg. However, you only get it comped if you sign up to volunteer ahead of time. There is a huge setup that takes place EVERY week because we aren't allowed to keep the course in place. All help is appreciated.
Setup starts around 2:30 PM, which may be a challenge work-wise, but if you can cut out early to help make this event successful, it will be very much appreciated.
The Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program's mission is to get more kids on bikes. Volunteer questions? Contact CCAP at "volunteer@ctcyclingadvancement.com", or send me an email through the club forum.

A reminder that we're a little over a week away from 9/1, and that we urgently need volunteers for course set-up and registration. ^^^^
Thank you very much to all of the EBCC members and FVYC team parents who signed up as volunteers for tomorrow's (9/1) race! EBCC has a long tradition of involvement with this race series, going back to the Pedals and Paws events that raised money to build the Rocky Hill Dog Park.
The event takes place at Elm Ridge Park (Rocky Hill Dog Park), 380 Elm Street, Rocky Hill CT.
Assignment times are as follows:
Course set-up: 2:30 to 5:15 PM
Registration / Check-In: 4:30 to 5:45 PM
Course breakdown: 7:00 to 8:00 PM
We may very well be rained out for week #1, so please keep an eye on your email starting around 11:00 AM Wednesday, for weather related updates and cancellations.
THANKS! - Jeff Cote
Regrettably, tonight's race is canceled due to rain. We don't want to destroy the park.
Please consider volunteering for an upcoming week.
Thanks!
